Powderhorn Resort is located in western Colorado on the side of the Grand Mesa, the world's largest flat-top mountain.

With 510 acres of terrain and a vertical drop of 1,650 feet, Powderhorn offers slopes for beginners to experts. The 360,000 acres on top of the Grand Mesa is the site for miles of cross-country and some of the best snowmobiling in the world.

Snowboarders will have a blast at Powderhorn. There are 2 terrain parks located mid-mountain with numerous rails, a fun-box, hits, tabletops and areas for clinics & competition. During the season, snowboard clinics and competition are popular with the locals.

Powderhorn offers packages and programs for all levels of skiing and snowboarding. Ski clinics for women taught by women are one of the most popular.

The rental shop has a full array of equipment for all winter sports, including snowshoes.

Fun For The Whole Family

Powderhorn loves kids! The Children's Learning Center offers special ski programs for three to seven-year-olds. Ski stay and play packages include group or private lessons and lunch options.

The Sunset Grille and the Wildwood Restaurant offer food to satisfy any appetite. The luxury condominium and rooms at the Inn at Wildwood offer ski-in/ski-out lodging at Powderhorn. Skiers and non-skiers alike can enjoy a winter of fun and scenic beauty at Powderhorn, such as the Colorado National Monument or the Colorado Wineries, located 20 miles away.

Powderhorn Resort is located 35 miles east of Grand Junction, Colo., approximately a 40-minute drive via I-70 east to Exit 49 South on Colorado Highway 65, which is the Grand Mesa Scenic Byway. Powderhorn is 20 miles up.

If the desire for transportation other than automobile is at hand, Amtrak provides daily rail service from Denver and Salt Lake City, Utah, to Grand Junction. Walker Field Airport is located in Grand Junction and is serviced by the following airlines: America West Express, Sky West/Delta and United Express Airlines.
